No, I'm not a day early. It's just past 9am on Sunday here. I trust my sons have remembered their mum. This is the first year I haven't reminded them.

Message:Haven't met you roo...but hope your mother's day was a great one. I will spend mine with my husband..but not my kids. That is ok with me. I will get phone calls, which I appreciate. I miss my own mother, especially think about her on this day. My mom...you could forget her birthday and ignore her on Valentine's Day but you better not forget her on Mother's Day. So I didn't.

Message:Funny Mothers Day Story. After church today, we stopped in at a supermarket to pick up a few things. Afterward, she wanted to go out and buy some fertilizer and flowers plants.
Sadly, over the past couple days I had neglected to buy a "Wife" Mother's Day card, so I slid by the greeting cards aisle, and slipped a very appropriate one into the shopping cart. But then remorse hit me.
I confessed that I was just now buying the card. She replied: "Let me read it, you can put it back and we can use the money to buy fertilizer. She did (read it and liked it) and then we did (buy the fertilizer.)
What a gal.

Message:Funny Joe. Mike and I have done exactly that for the last few years on other occasions like birthdays and such. We just look at the card we really like, have the other read it and then put it back. Gee, no wonder cards are so expensive anymore!!! People like us, lol.
I'm all into the e-cards and fb messages but I still like flowers to plant for Mother's Day.

Message:Snowy, that reminds me of a story from my parents. It was shortly before Valentine's Day and they happened to be in a card shop. Dad handed Mom and card and said, "Here, this is how I feel about you." After she read it, he put it back.
I remember asking Mom if this made her mad. She said, "No. After 40 plus years of marriage, I'm used to it."
On the other hand, after telling my wife the story, she told me if I tried something like that with her, I might as well get the card for my next wife!

to the others...love the idea of choosing a card...and having the spouse/sign. other look at it..I'm all for saving money! Great idea.
How I spent mothers day. I talked to my son in MN, missed the call from my daughter. Best of all..I helped my husband cut down 2 dead pine trees and drag those heavy suckers to a pile at the end of the yard to be gotten rid of later. Don't ask how I feel today? Well, since you did, I ache all over!
